Words from the Land of Juan is a writing blog.
That is to say, it’s a blog that’s been put up as a venue so that a small community of rookie Filipino writers can record their experiences and insights on the craft of writing. Regular writers write one column per week on a selected day, on any topic they like, and guest writers occasionally do a piece or two as well. These writers are all either freelance writers, or full time professionals at the start of their careers.
This is because the Land of Juan hopes to provide a unique perspective on the writing life. The entries in these pages will neither be the distilled thoughts of established writers, nor the scattered ramblings of a beginning writer’s personal blog. Instead, they take up the specific task of highlighting the joys, frustrations, hopes, difficulties, and other ebbs and flows of the emerging writer’s life.
The concept of the site and the page itself are still in their early development, so if you have any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to email the administrator (Monday writer R.E. de Leon) at alternativity@yahoo.com , or leave a comment at whatever page you feel is appropriate. A weekly Wrap-Up, which includes highlights of the week and announcements about the site, is released every Saturday evening at the end of the week.
In other words, we’re just getting started. But in another sense, that’s the point of it all, isn’t it? We hope you enjoy the site.
Yours,
R.E. de Leon
Site administrator and Monday writer for Words from the Land of Juan
P.S. Words from the Land of Juan is not currently seeking article submissions, but comments – even lengthy ones – to the columns are more than welcome.

I love your site. Keep it up !
